Joe Caffrey paced King's with 16 points, but the King's College men's basketball team fell to DeSales, 73-61 in a men's Freedom Conference college basketball game Saturday in Center Valley.
Tom Heston added 15 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists for King's. Ian Oakley and Kyle Hammonds both finished with eight while Matt Fiorino tallied six points.
Cael Evans and Matt Greene each poured in 19 points and the Misericordia University men's basketball team earned a road victory over FDU-Florham at the Ferguson Rec Center.
Evans also grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds to complete the double-double while Steve Ware added 18 points and nine rebounds.
DeSales University posted a Freedom Conference victory in Center Valley.
Katlin Michaels led King's with 12 points, eight rebounds, and six assists while Celia Rader tallied 12 points, five rebounds, and six steals. Lindsay Atchison had five points and 10 rebounds while Molly Dahl chipped in with five points, two rebounds, and two assists.
The Misericordia University women's basketball team lost at first place FDU-Florham.
Lauren Smicherko had 11 points and eight rebounds to lead the Cougars while Sam Baro added seven points and Caitlin Kessler had six points off the bench.
The King's College men's swim team wrapped up the 2012-13 dual meet season with a loss to host Elizabethtown College.
Andrew Reimann won the 50-freestyle as well as the 500-freestyle while Mike Sweeney won the 100-freestyle
Kyle Newton won 200-butterfly and Matt Dickson captured the 200-breaststroke.
The King's College women's swim team finished the regular season with a victory over host Elizabethtown College.
Winning two events for King's was Patricia Manning (200 backstroke, 200 breaststroke) while Caroline Fitch was also a two-time winner (1000 freestyle 500 freestyle) and Macawley Brown won the 200 individual medley and Kim Brino was the winner in the 200 butterfly.
The Wilkes University wrestling team claimed six top six finishes including four wrestles with second place finishes at the Messiah Open on Saturday.
Griffin Panicucci (133) took an 8-0 major decision before a 6-2 decision to reach the semifinals. Phil Racciato (157) won four straight, Chase Martino (174) used a 15-2 major decision and a pin to reach the semifinals and David O'Berrender (197) used two decisions and a pin to reach the finals of the 197-pound bracket.
William Fletcher was the final top-six finisher for the Colonels at 285.
