King's College junior accounting majors Kyle Carruthers, Dix Hills, N.Y., and Amanda Lescowitch, Hazleton, built the grand prize-winning gingerbread house in a competition recently hosted by the college's Dining Services. In addition to constructing the house from cookie sheets and icing, each participant had to write an essay on the meaning of Christmas. More than a dozen students participated in the college's first Gingerbread House Contest. Carruthers and Lescowitch's house earned 101 votes and they received an Amazon Kindle e-reader. With their house, from left, are Lescowitch and Carruthers.
