Lake-Lehman (6-3)
at
Dallas
(6-3)
2 p.m. Saturday
The Coaches: Lehman's Jerry Gilsky (19-11, 3rd year); Dallas' Bob Zaruta (6-3, 1st year)
Last Meeting: Dallas 42-7 in 2011
All-Time Series: Dallas leads 41-13-2
Quick Fact: Dallas has won the last three meetings, and 10 of the past 11.
Scouting Lake-Lehman: The Black Knights had a tougher time than expected in a 22-0 victory over winless Hanover Area. They led only 16-0 at halftime. Although never really threatened, Lehman never really put away the game like a team headed to the D2-2A playoffs should.
FB Dustin Jones went over 1,000 yards on the ground with a 111-yard performance. Lehman is best when it relies on its stable of runners. The Black Knights are 0-3 when they pass the ball more than 10 times against a team with a winning record.
Scouting Dallas: The Mountaineers will know their playoff fate before taking the field. Wins by Crestwood and Valley View tonight send them to the Eastern Conference playoffs. A loss by either means the D2-3A tournament provided they defeat Lehman.
Either way, Dallas is on a roll. Its 60-0 victory over Tunkhannock was its third shutout in its last five games. QB Ryan Zapoticky threw for four TDs for the second time this season. The defense allowed just 122 yards.
What To Expect: The battle for the Old Shoe has fit Dallas in recent matchups and will once again.
