The Moscow Ballet, an internationally touring ballet company, is staging the classic Great Russian Nutcracker at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 3 at the F. M. Kirby Center, Wilkes-Barre. The event gives local dancers the unique opportunity to appear on stage with professional dancers in a world class production. The participation of the local dancers is made possible through a partnership between the Moscow Ballet, the Harris Conservatory for the Arts and the F. M. Kirby Center. Dancers from Carbon, Monroe, Schuylkill, Lackawanna, Luzerne and Wyoming counties took part in the auditions conducted by prima ballerina, Svetlana Todinova.
