The Blue Ribbon Foundation of Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania recently approved an $8,950 grant for Maternal and Family Health Services (MFHS) Circle of Care program in Lackawanna County. The program offers early prenatal care, laboratory and ultrasound tests, parenting and teen parenting support groups, nutrition information and home health services to uninsured and underinsured pregnant women. The grant will enable MFHS to expand its prenatal case management program to serve an additional 200 high-risk women in the coming year.
