Anthropology students at MMI Preparatory School recently participated in an archeological dig in Luzerne County. The students assisted the Frances Dorrance Chapter of the Society for Pennsylvania Archaeology, a nonprofit organization whose members are dedicated to the study of local and state history and prehistory, on a professionally supervised excavation at two sites along the banks of the Susquehanna River near Pittston. Some of the senior participants, clockwise, from left, are Trebor Hall, Brianna Dzurishin and Beau Samonte.
