WILKES-BARRE - A man accidentally shot himself in the leg on Thursday, city police said.
Police, fire and ambulance personnel responded to North Main and East Chestnut streets after Luzerne County 911 received a call of a man shot at 4:11 p.m.
The man was transported to a hospital and police cleared the scene by 4:28 p.m. without providing comment. Police later said the gunshot was accidentally self-inflicted. No further information was available.

WILKES-BARRE - Police responded to the intersection of North Main and East Chestnut streets after Luzerne County 911 received a call of a man shot at 4:11 p.m.

An ambulance responded as did six emergency vehicles. Police did not release information and the scene was cleared by 4:28 p.m.
