Misericordia downs Wilkes in opener

LEHMAN TWP. -- Misericordia defeated Wilkes 335-386 in their men's golf opener Monday at the Huntsville Golf Club.


Adam Deporter shot a 79 for the Cougars, the low round of the day, while Jeff Slanovec turned in an 82.


Jerry Nolt led Wilkes with a 92 and Frederick Tolerico shot a 95.


WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
King's 3, Keystone 2

Mary Loughran posted 35 assists, 14 digs, seven kills and four aces in King's five-set defeat of Keystone.


Jillian Foster added 16 digs and three aces for the Monarchs.


Scranton 3, Wilkes 0

Casey Bohan finished with eight kills and two blocks for Wilkes in a loss.


Courtney Kania added seven digs, three kills and two assists for the Colonels.


Cairn 3, Misericordia 2

Cailin McCullion led Misericordia with 22 kills and Shelby Brochetti added 24 digs but the Cougars came up short at home.


WOMEN'S FIELD HOCKEY
FDU-Florham 5, Misericordia 2

Emily Hegner and Terra Hall scored for the Cougars in a loss.
