LUZERNE -- The 2013 county/municipal and municipal per capita taxes will be issued Jan. 31, borough tax collector John Lohman announced.

The rebate period for the property taxes is from Jan. 31 to April 1. Face period for taxes will run from April 2 until June 1 and the penalty period is June 2 through Dec. 31.

The office hours during the rebate period are Monday and Thursday 6 until 8 p.m., Saturdays 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. After the rebate period ends, office hours are Mondays 6 until 7 p.m. and Saturdays 1 until 2 p.m. Special arrangements for pickup of taxes can be made with Lohman if the office hours are not convenient.

For taxes are paid by mail, enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope along with the entire tax bill if a receipt is requested.
