Steven Kondrad was elected president of the Plymouth Historical Society at a recent board of directors meeting. Kondrad is a lifelong resident of Plymouth and a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School. He has been a member of the Plymouth Historical Society for many years and has actively chaired several working committees. By occupation he is an automotive mechanic, but by avocation he is a local historian and collector of local memorabilia. The son and the grandson of coal miners, Kondrad has concentrated his collecting to the coal mining era and specializes in photography of local mines. Kondrad shares his accumulative knowledge in presentations and displays. He is married to the former Mary Beth McMonigal. They are the parents of one son, David, and grandparents of Kaitlyn Kondrad, 1. Kondrad can be reached at the Plymouth Historical Society at 779-5840.
