Nanticoke secretary charged with theft from school district

Jacqueline Ruchinski, 62, of East Church Street, Nanticoke, a secretary within the school district, is accused of stealing $19,427 between 2006 and 2012.
Ruchinski claimed she took the money from the cafeteria, according to charges filed.
Ruchinski was arraigned today by District Judge Joseph Halesey, Hanover Township, on six counts of theft. She was released without bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 14 before District Judge Donald Whittaker, Nanticoke.
