EDWARDSVILLE: The Edwardsville Senior Center is hosting a speaker from American Red Cross at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
A blood pressure screening will be held by Manorcare at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 10.
Bag lunch on Dec. 13 and a staff member from Rep. Gerald Mullery's office will be visiting from 10 a.m. to noon.
The birthday of the month celebration will be held on Dec. 14.
EXETER: The Cosmopolitan Seniors will gather today at St. Anthony Center and celebrate the holiday season with a Christmas party.
Members are reminded to bring in non-perishable food items for donation to the local food pantry.
Fifty-fifty winners at the last meeting were Tom Alpaugh, Rosemary Golenski, Johanna Malinowski, Ed Stankoski and Frances Voveris. Cheryl Pipher won the special game and Edith Jones won the bingo jackpot.

EXETER: The St. Joseph's Senior Social Club will meet at 6 tonight, at Valenti's for the annual Christmas party. There will be no regular meeting this month. The next meeting will be held Jan. 17, 2013. New members are welcome.
MOUNTAIN TOP: The Mountaintop Senior Center, Wright Manor, 460 S. Main Road, is hosting United Neighborhood for Fair Housing Rights at 12:30 p.m. on Monday.
Blood pressure screenings will be offered at 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 11. There will also be bingo by Griswold Home Care.
A craft class on painting ornaments will take place at 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 14.
There will be a holiday luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 19 with a special visitor from the North Pole.
The center will be closed on Dec. 25.
PLAINS TWP.: The Plains Senior Citizens Project Head held a Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 14 at SS. Peter and Paul school cafeteria.
The next meeting will be on Wednesday. Hostesses are Josephine Angelella, Jerry Cookus, Louise Cookus, Jean Curtis, Sophie Czahur and Eleanor Donati. Hostesses should be at the cafeteria by 11:30 a.m. to set up refreshments.
Final arrangements will be made for the annual Christmas party to be held on Dec.16 at the Woodlands Inn and Resort. New members are welcome.
PLYMOUTH: The Senior Citizen's Friendship Club of St. Mary's will meet at 1 p.m. on Monday at the Holy Child School building on Willow Street. Servers are Jane Thomas, Romaine Valovicz, Geraldine Wabik, Phyllis Warakomski and Barbara Zagropski.
At the previous meeting, 50-50 winners were Jean Mihalick, Rita Buzinski and Rosalie Meurer.
The homeless men will be housed at the Holy Child School building from Dec. 31 through Jan. 5, 2013. Anyone who would like to help cook and serve can call the church office at 779-5232.
WILKES-BARRE: The Charles T. Adams Senior Center, 5 E. Market St., will hold a holiday lunch and party on Dec. 19.
The center is conducting food workshops during the holiday season at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Participants can learn how to make fun gifts and ornaments from food.
The center will be closed on Dec. 25.
A New Years Eve lunch and party will be held on Dec. 28.
WILKES-BARRE: The Firwood Senior Citizen Club will hold its annual Christmas party at 1 p.m. on Thursday in the meeting room at the Firwood United Methodist Church, Old River Road and Dagobert streets. In lieu of gift exchanging, a collection will be made and the proceeds will be donated to a local charity.
Installation of officers for 2013 will also be held. New officers are Tom Wahl, president; Eleanore Sofranko, vice president; Wesley Simmers, treasurer; and Sallie Drumm, secretary.
Future trips include Jan. 22-24, 2013, Tropicana, Atlantic City, N.J.; Feb. 12, 2013, a Valentine tea at the East Mountain Inn; and in March the flower show in Philadelphia. Trips are open to the public.
New members are being accepted into the club which meets the first Thursday of each month. Annual dues are $4 with a $1 donation at each meeting for refreshments and the Sunshine Club.
WYOMING: The Wyoming, West Wyoming seniors will hold their annual Christmas party at noon today. There will be musical entertainment by Debbie Switzer and prizes and bingo.
The 50-50 winners from the last meeting were Paul Delaney, Nancy Marcy and Frank Perfinski. The bingo jackpot winner was Marion Pocceschi. Maryann Paluck will celebrate her birthday in December.
The election of officers was held. New officers are Frank Perfinski, president; Sam DeSalvo, vice president; and Joann Kwasny, Irene Zelinsky and Donna Pocceschi, treasurers. Past president Marion Poccschi conducted the election.
The next regular meeting will be held on Jan. 8, 2013. New members and guest are welcome.
