CONYNGHAM: Christ Lutheran Church, Main Street, is hosting a quilt auction to benefit local wounded warriors on Nov. 10. Supporting the event are the Valley VFW Post 8161 and its Ladies Auxiliary. Doors will open at 9 a.m. for a preview of the quilts and the auction will start at 10 a.m. No credit cards will be accepted.
Over 65 quilts and quilt items have been donated. Two quilts of valor will be given to area veterans chosen by the local VFW post. The church kitchen will serve homemade food, including soups, pulled-beef sandwiches, haluski and desserts.

DALLAS: The Student Leadership in Civics Club at Dallas High School is hosting a Veteran's Day ceremony in honor of local veterans at 1 p.m. on Nov. 11 at the Dallas High School. Students will moderate a question-answer format discussion with a panel of veterans who will discuss their experiences. The community is invited to attend.
DUPONT: VFW Post 4909 will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 5 at the post home. Commander Gary Carwardine will preside. A Home Association meeting will take place after the regular meeting. Food and refreshments will be served after both meetings.
HANOVER TWP.: The Amvets Ladies Auxiliary Post 59 Hanover Township will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on Nov. 6. All auxiliary members and anyone interested in joining the post are invited.
MOUNTAIN TOP: Mountain Post American Legion Auxiliary Unit 781 will hold its monthly meetings on Thursday. The executive committee will meet at 7 p.m. and the regular meeting will take place at 7:30 p.m. All members are urged to attend and new members are welcome.
