TANNERSVILLE — A crash involving three tractor-trailers left one truck driver dead.

The crash also closed part of Interstate 80 in the Poconos for hours.

Officials said the crash happened during foggy conditions in the eastbound lanes about 3:30 a.m. Monday in Pocono Township, Monroe County.

State police said one of the trucks lost a concrete barrier off its flatbed trailer.

That caused a chain-reaction crash involving the other two tractor-trailers.

Officials said 41-year-old truck driver Daniel L. Snyder of Youngstown, Ohio, died at the scene.

Eastbound I-80 were closed between exits 293 and 298 while authorities investigated.
