Packer, Linskey

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Linskey Jr., Jenkins Township, are proud to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Melissa Linskey, to Kyle Packer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Packer, Fairport, N.Y.

The couple met while attending the University of Scranton.

Miss Linskey is a 2005 graduate of Seton Catholic High School, Pittston. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Scranton in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She is in her last year of medical school at Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia.

Mr. Packer is a 2005 graduate of McQuaid Jesuit, Rochester, N.Y. He also graduated from the University of Scranton in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in biology. He is also in his last year of medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Erie, Pa. Melissa and Kyle both plan to begin residencies in general surgery following graduation.

The couple will exchange vows on June 8, 2013, at St. John the Evangelist Parish, Pittston.
