The doctors of the Luzerne County Medical Society and the lawyers of the Wilkes-Barre Law & Library Association/the Bar Association of Luzerne County recently held a public law and health education seminar on legal and medical issues of pediatric immunizations. The William G. McGowan School of Business, the Physician Assistant Program and the Healthcare Administration Program at King's College hosted the event. Presenters were Dr. Michael E. Ryan, a pediatric infectious disease specialist, and attorney Joseph F. Saporito Jr., president of the bar association. Other joint doctor-lawyer programs are being planned for the future.
