PLAINS TWP. - Pittston police charged Michael Angel Roman, 57, with sexually assaulting a 2-year old girl inside a boarding house on South Main Street, Pittston, on Jan 6.
Roman was arraigned by District Judge Diana Malast on two counts each of indecent assault and simple assault, and one count each of terroristic threats and possessing instruments of crime.
Police allege in arrest records Roman threatened other tenants in the house with a hammer when confronted about assaulting the toddler.
Roman was jailed for lack of $150,000 bail.
