BUTLER TWP. – Township police reported the following:


Police said they charged Nicole M. Devitto, 20, of Shippensburg, with stealing a credit card belonging to another student at Keystone Job Corps Center. Devitto used the stolen card to access an ATM and withdraw $280 on Oct. 2, police allege.


Devitto was charged with theft, receiving stolen property and access device fraud.


• Police said they are investigating a burglary at a house that was ransacked on Freedom Road near Drasher Road on Oct. 3.


• A homeowner in the 200 block of Snow Valley Drive, Beech Mountain Lakes, reported jewelry was stolen from her residence.


• Police said a man wearing a Halloween mask has been loitering in the Fritzingertown area.


• Police said they are investigating an attempted burglary at a house on Pleasant View Drive on Oct. 3. Pry marks were found on a rear door.


• Jewelry was stolen during a burglary at a house in the 100 block of Freedom Road on Oct. 3. The homeowner arrived to find the family dog outside and jewelry stolen from the residence.


• Police said they cited Iman Rodriguez, 20, of Philadelphia, a student at Keystone Job Corps Center, with harassment after an incident at the facility on Saturday.


• A 17-year-old juvenile from Williamsport was cited with underage drinking when he was allegedly found intoxicated at the Keystone Job Corps Center on Saturday.


HANOVER TWP. – Township police are investigating a fire that damaged a 2002 Dodge Stratus at about 12:15 a.m. Thursday on Lyndwood Avenue. The vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the blaze.


Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call Hanover Township police at 825-1254.


HANOVER TWP. – State police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement reported statistics for September: complaints, 106; visits to licensed establishments, 372; age compliance checks, eight; licensed establishments that sold alcohol to minor, four; warnings, 19; minors arrested for underage drinking, one; criminal arrests, one; seized 17 liters of liquor, 11 gallons of beer and two liters of wine.


WILKES-BARRE – A man riding a bicycle was taken to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center after he struck a vehicle at South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and Hazle Avenue on Thursday.


Police said Brian Vital, no age or address provided, was riding a bike on Hazle Avenue and proceeded through a red traffic signal into the intersection, where he collided with the side of a vehicle driven by Ashleigh Hillard, no age or address provided, at about 10:15 a.m.


Hillard was not injured.


PLAINS TWP. – Township police reported the following:


• During the overnight hours of Tuesday into Wednesday, residents reported thefts from their unlocked vehicles.


Scott Malinowski, of New Street, reported someone stole his iPod Classic and two pair of sunglasses; Carolyn Corcoran, of West Bergh Street, reported someone stole sunglasses, change and cigarettes; and Eileen Matrunich, of New Street, reported someone stole change and cash.


Police advise residents to lock their vehicles to prevent these thefts and to not keep valuables inside their vehicles or in plain sight.


• Danielle Nissen, of Pittston, was cited with public drunkenness after she was seen allegedly staggering along North River Street just before 3 a.m. Thursday, police said.


• Michaelene Drahus, of Jones Street, reported that someone punctured all four of her vehicle's tires while it was parked in front of her house overnight Wednesday into Thursday.


PLAINS TWP. – Township police arrested William Evans, 50, of Plains, on charges he burglarized a former girlfriend's residence early Friday morning.


Evans was charged with burglary, criminal trespass and harassment. He was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.


Police allege Evans entered the residence on Jones Street through a basement window just after 1 a.m. The woman hid in a bathroom and called 911.


A preliminary hearing is scheduled on Oct. 16.


WILKES-BARRE – Charles Edwards, 50, was arraigned Friday on charges he stole about $100,000 in equipment from Core Communications on Public Square in August.


Police allege Edwards was recorded on surveillance cameras removing items from the business on Aug. 4 and Aug. 11, according to the criminal complaint.


Edwards was charged with a single count of theft. He was released on $25,000 unsecured bail.


A preliminary hearing is scheduled on Oct. 17.
