HAZLETON – City police reported that a city man was arrested Sunday after witnesses reported he was entering vehicles and removing items.
Police said Julian Jackson, 19, of West Diamond Avenue, was charged with theft from a motor vehicle, simple assault, resisting arrest, possessing a controlled substance, receiving stolen property and possession of liquor after an incident Sunday morning.
Police said Jackson was observed opening car doors and removing items. Around 8:43 a.m.
Jackson was arraigned by District Judge James Dixon and lodged at the Luzerne County prison for lack of $25,000 bail.
HANOVER TWP. – Police said Amanda Gryskevicz of the Hanover Village Apartments reported someone entered her apartment around 6 p.m. Sunday through an unsecured window and stole an X-Box 360 and PS-3 play station gaming systems.
WILKES-BARRE – The Pennsylvania Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement recently issued the following citations:
• Screwballz Bar & Grille owned by Bob & Tom Enterprises Inc., Sans Souci Parkway, Hanover Township, was cited with serving alcohol after hours on Sept. 16.
• Outsiders Restaurant & Bar Inc., South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, was citied with failing to timely file employers withholding tax returns with the state Department of Revenue. It was also cited for failing to adhere to conditions of an agreement previously entered into with the Liquor Control Board that placed restrictions on the bar's license.
• Fire and Ice on Toby Creek, owned by F&E Culinary Creations, South Main Street, Kingston Township, was cited with selling alcohol after its liquor license had expired.
