WILKES-BARRE TWP. – New York City police on Monday arrested two men suspected in the robbery of the Wendy's restaurant in Wilkes-Barre Township on Saturday.
Wilkes-Barre Township police Capt. Will Clark said Aaron N. Flowers, 22, of Sugar Notch, and Kristopher Rasmussen, 27, of Melbourne, Fla., were taken into custody without incident about 5 p.m. in the vicinity of Times Square.
Wilkes-Barre Township police had obtained arrest warrants for the men about 4:30 p.m. Monday, Clark said.
Both men were charged with three counts each of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery and one count each of theft by unlawful taking and conspiracy to commit theft, Clark said.
As of 7:30 p.m. Monday, the men were in custody at NYPD's 18th Precinct, Clark said.
Clark said additional information would be forthcoming today.
The Times Leader reported on Sunday that two gunmen robbed the Wendy's on Schechter Drive and locked employees in a freezer before making off with money and the manager's car.
