Police are searching for suspects who robbed two convenience stores in Wilkes-Barre and a doughnut shop in Plains Township Tuesday morning.
The first robbery occurred at around 4 a.m. at the Turkey Hill market at 200 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Police said a white male brandishing a pen demanded money. The man was wearing a white surgical mask, sunglasses, a gray hooded sweat shirt, khaki cargo pants and blue sneakers.
A man with a similar description is also suspected of robbing the Dunkin Donuts on state Route 315 just prior to this robbery. The man in that case fled in a small black vehicle.
Police are also investigating a robbery at the Hazle Mart, 532 Hazle St., at around 9:56 a.m.
Police said a white male brandishing a box cutter demanded money from the register and lottery machine. The man was wearing a black ski cap and blue sweatshirt and bandana over his face. He fled west on Blackman Street in a newer model brown Toyota.
