Dr. Danielle Porcello and Dr. Eric John Pape were united in marriage on April 28, 2012, at St. Elizabeth's Roman Catholic Church, Long Island, N.Y., by the Rev. Frank Schneider.
The bride is the daughter of Ralph and Diane Porcello, Dix Hill, N.Y. She is the granddaughter of Jean Porcello and the late Ralph Porcello, Middle Island, N.Y., and Frances Haug and the late Charles Haug, Glen Cove, N.Y.
The groom is the son of John and Patricia Pape, Larksville. He is the grandson of Mary Shymansky and the late Robert Shymansky, Hanover Township, and the late Anna and John Pape Sr., Lee Park.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose her sister, Christine, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sara Pape, Stephanie Adams and Dr. Jillian Beyer.
The groom chose his friend, Matthew Rogers, as best man. Groomsmen were Thomas Batroney, Charles Keinath, Daniel Mooney and Dr. Adam Sloane.
Scriptural readings were given by Sara Pape, sister of the groom, and Dr. Adam Sloane, friend of the groom. Gifts were presented by Diane Porcello, mother of the bride, and Patricia Pape, mother of the groom.
The bride was honored with a shower given by her mother and sister at Chat Noir, Rockville Centre, N.Y. A shower was also hosted by the mother and sister of the groom at the Wyoming Valley Country Club, Wilkes-Barre, Pa. The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents at Piccola Bussola Ristorante, Huntington, N.Y. An evening cocktail hour and reception were held at the Swan Club, Roslyn, N.Y.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Villanova University. She earned her doctorate of optometry at SUNY College of Optometry, New York City, in 2008.
The groom is a 2004 graduate of Wilkes University. He completed his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2008 at SUNY College of Optometry in New York City.
The couple honeymooned in the Hawaiian Islands of Kauai, Maui and Oahu. They reside in Astoria, N.Y.
