Representatives from the 20th annual Hook O'Malley Race against Cancer recently presented a check for $1,300 to the American Cancer Society in memory of the late Paul ‘Hook' O'Malley. O'Malley was a local boxing coach who trained the youth of the community in the art of self defense. He lost his battle with cancer 20 years ago. At the check presentation, from left, are Meghan Livingston, Matt O'Malley, Leo Ruddy, Mary Theresa O'Malley Ruddy and Patrick O'Malley.
