Solomon students learn about healthy foods

The Solomon/Plains Junior High School Family and Consumer Science classes, directed by Marie Correll, recently participated in a breakfast enrichment program sponsored by the USDA and its My Plate Initiative. Students are taught the importance of protein, dairy, vegetables, fruits and grains. The Be Smart-Eat Right program is presented to all seventh-grade students.
