St. Andre Bessette Parish sponsoring Night at the Races

St. Andre Bessette Parish, Wilkes-Barre, is sponsoring a Night at the Races on Jan. 26 at Monsignor Curran Hall at Holy Saviour worship site, 54 Hillard St., Wilkes-Barre. Doors open at 6 p.m. and post time is 7 p.m. The event includes several regular races, a pick-a-pony bonus race and chances to win cash and theme baskets. Admission is $5 and includes food, beverages and snacks. Tickets are on sale now and can be obtained by calling the parish office at 823-4988. Reserved seating for parties of eight or more is available. Horses are available for purchase for $10. Persons must be 21 years of age or older to attend. Several members of the planning committee, from left, are Bob Cirko, Mimi Tosh, Geri Krufka, John Rushton, Nancy Amesbury, Dolores Yesuvida, Sandy Snyder, Anna Hudock and Joe Boris. Also on the planning committee are the Rev. Kenneth Seegar, pastor; the Rev. Michael Kloton, parochial vicar; Sue Boris; Kenny Burke; Jane Cirko; and Jeff Snyder.
