Mary Alice Endler's fourth-grade class at St. Nicholas-St. Mary recently observed All Saints Day with the celebration of the liturgy at St. Nicholas Church in Wilkes-Barre. Students participated in the Mass by offering the Biblical reading, presenting the altar cloth (signed by each student), gifts of water and wine, and singing a musical selection. Prior to the celebration, the Rev. John Victoria visited the class and explained sainthood. For the Mass, the students dressed as some of the saints that are honored on this feast. Monsignor Joseph Rauscher celebrated the Mass and included the class in his homily as he selected each of the students to share the saint's feast day and a few facts about their particular saint. First row, from left: Michael Brown, Brady Rood, Raphael Mosely-Boncy, Lexy Curtin, Grace Parsons, Ryan Viteritti, David Durko, Rose Hayword and Erica Ray. Second row: Mercedes Vinsko, Katelyn Engel, Kailey Considine, Emma Kelleher, Amanda Feher, Alexis Roman, Lauren Casey, Morgan Mulcahy, and Ian Edler von Lerch.
