Township children light Christmas tree

Wilkes-Barre Township children Connor and Elias Wilson were chosen to light the township Christmas tree on Dec. 7. Conner and Elias are the sons of Eric and Amy Wilson, township residents, and the grandsons of John and Theresa Stefanski. A large crowd assembled for the ceremony, which was also attended by Santa, Senator Lisa Baker and Luzerne County District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis. Tom Woods was the master of ceremonies and musical entertainment was provided by Doug Delescavage. Food and refreshments were served after the ceremony.
