W-B Bā??nai Bā??rith Youth group members are winners at competition

The Wilkes-Barre Chapter of the B'nai B'rith Youth Organization (BBYO) recently competed with other teen chapters from Allentown, Binghamton, Westchester, Wilmington, Scranton, Newark, King of Prussia, Reading, York and Harrisburg at the Harrisburg Jewish Community Center. The local winners were: Sam Zimniski, third place, instrumental; Ben Engel, Andrew Greenwald, Sam Nogin, Samantha Zimniski and Jake Greenberg, second place, water polo; Sam Nogin, third place, black and white photo; May Dougherty, second place, color photo; Katie Buyarski, first place, BBG singing; Adam Rinehouse, third place, AZA singing; Sam Zimniski, second place, BBG storytelling; Sydney Roth, first place, dance; Adam Rinehouse, first place, checkers; Kelsey Kayton, second place, chess; May Dougherty, third place, backgammon; and chapter, second place, song and cheer. The chapter was also the overall winner for a medium-sized chapter.
