HAZLE TWP. - A woman died in a fire at a residence at 1354 N. Church St., according to a Luzerne County deputy coroner.
The name of the 47-year-old woman was being withheld, said John Paletski, deputy coroner.
Firefighters were called to the scene around 8:30 p.m. The fire shut down a section of the road that also is state Route 309. It reopened just after 10 p.m.
