Emily Rose Lencoski, daughter of Jerry and Dianna Lencoski, Shickshinny, has been named Student of the Month for June at Northwest Area High School. Lencoski has been a member of the field hockey team, track and field team, marching band, Student Council, yearbook staff, Adventure Club, FFA and stage crew. She also enjoys modeling and was a National American Miss (Miss Teen Pennsylvania) state finalist. Lencoski took part in Bucks for Books last summer and raised money to purchase new books for the Northwest Intermediate School. She is also involved in her church youth group. She plans to attend Penn State University in the fall.

Nicole Rose Lukesh, Wyoming, a rising junior at Wyoming Seminary Upper School, was selected to serve as the school’s representative to the annual Hugh O’Brian Youth Foundation Leadership Seminar (HOBY) held this spring at Millersville University. Alexis Sokach, West Pittston, was chosen as the alternate representative. HOBY, a non profit, non tax-supported youth leadership development organization, has worked to help young people make a difference and become positive catalysts for change in the home, school, workplace and community for more than 40 years.
