April showers will dampen the Wyoming Valley through the midweek and beyond.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 51 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport. Mostly cloudy skies kicked off the morning, along with some drizzle in spots of the area.

Rain will be likely today, with up to a quarter of an inch possible. Today’s high will be near 59 degrees.

Rain will continue to be likely tonight, with up to another quarter of an inch possible. Tonight’s low will be around 38 degrees.

Rain once again be likely before noon on Wednesday, with cloudy skies predicted otherwise. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and Wednesday’s high will be near 48 degrees.

A 40 percent chance of rain will be possible on Wednesday night, with less than a tenth of an inch of rain possible. Cloudy skies are otherwise predicted, and the night’s low will be 35 degrees.
