Nicole Maday and Ed Friess were united in marriage on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015 at Historic Hotel Bethlehem in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, by Officiant Donna Forsythe.

Nicole is the daughter of Stephen and Ann Marie Maday of Wilkes-Barre. She is the granddaughter of the late Joseph and Patricia Maday, Nanticoke, and the late William and Mary Bedwick, Wilkes-Barre.

Ed is the son of Edward and Patricia Friess of Philadelphia. He is the grandson of the late Edward and Lorraine Friess, Philadelphia, and the late Charles and Mary Veteri, Philadelphia.

Nicole was given away in marriage by her father. She chose her friends, Monica Thomas and Lauren Chiusano, as her matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Meghan Bedwick, cousin of the bride; Michelle Friess, sister of the groom; and Kellyann Campbell, friend of the bride and groom.

Ed chose his brother, Chris Friess, as his best man. Groomsmen were Nick Graveley, Dave Davis, Pete O’Driscoll, and Ray Porecca, friends of the bride and groom.

A bridal shower was hosted by the mother and aunts of the bride at the Irem Temple Country Club in Dallas. The parents of the groom hosted the rehearsal dinner at Mama Nina’s in Bethlehem.

Nicole is a 2004 graduate of Elmer L. Meyers High school. She received a bachelor’s degree in English from King’s College in 2008, and a master’s degree in education from La Salle University in 2010. She is currently employed by the Department of Behavioral Health in Philadelphia.

Ed is a 2001 graduate of Father Judge High School in Philadelphia. He received a bachelor’s degree in communications from La Salle University in 2006. He is currently employed by the University of Pennsylvania.

Following a honeymoon in Mexico, the couple resides in Philadelphia with their cat, Prim.
