Alison Rachel Grant and Bernard William McDade were united in marriage at St. Leo’s Holy Rosary Church, Ashley, by the Rev. Vincent Dang.

The bride is the daughter of William and Mary Lou Grant, Dallas Township. She is the granddaughter of Wilmer and Arlene Wagner and the late William and Mary Grant.

The groom is the son of Bernard and Linda McDade, Sugar Notch. He is the grandson of the late Bernard and Ann “Honey” Lenahan McDade, Sugar Notch and the late Michael and Loretta Corsano, Ashley.

The bride, escorted by her father, chose her sisters Lauren O’Shea and Madeline Grant, as her matron and maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Katie Barnes, sister of the groom and Marie Newkirk, best friend of the bride. Emelia O’Shea, niece of the groom was the flower girl. Grant O’Shea, nephew of the bride and Samuel Frank, nephew of the groom, were the ring bearers. Michael Augustine and Christian Iorio, friends of the groom, were the best men.

Scriptural readings were given by Erin Frank, sister of the groom and Arlene Wagner, grandmother of the bride. Jennifer Buckwash performed a vocal solo.

The bride was honored at a bridal shower at Appletree Terrace that was given by her parents. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom at the Westmoreland Club. An evening cocktail hour and reception was held at the Manor at Whitewoods, Wapwallopen.

Mrs. McDade is a 2006 graduate of Bishop Hoban High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Scranton in 2010. She is a certified public accountant and is employed as a senior associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Philadelphia.

Mr. McDade is a 2001 graduate of Bishop Hoban High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from King’s College in 2005. Bernie earned his juris doctorate from the Penn State Dickinson School of Law and is a licensed attorney in Pennsylvania. He is employed with the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Following a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple resides in Philadelphia.
