Katelyn Elizabeth Gibbon and Marcus Todd Wilkins were united in marriage July 23, 2016 at the Holiday Inn East Mountain by Reverend Ann Marie Acacio.

The bride is the daughter of James and Debbie Gibbon, Mountain Top. She is the granddaughter of the late Susan and Earl Moore, Wilkes-Barre Township and the late Elizabeth Gibbon, Wilkes-Barre.

The groom is the son of Andrea Burke and Norbert Wilkins, Montclair, New Jersey. He is the grandson of Ana Wilkins, Montclair, New Jersey and Charles Burke, Orange, New Jersey.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, James Gibbon. She chose her best friend, Lindsey Labe, to be the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Shaina Cook and Elaina Wilkins, sisters of the groom; Melissa Burke, cousin of the groom and Julia Cariaga, Angela Butler, Amanda Laird, friends of the bride.

The groom chose his best friend Roman Belenkin to be the best man. Groomsmen were Brandon Gibbon, brother of the bride; Thomas Wilkins, Nicholas Burke and Dallas Burke, brothers of the groom and Alonzo Johnson and Stan Dispasquale, friends of the groom.

The flower girl was Janelle Burke, niece of the groom and the ring bearers were Josiah West and Kenyon Monroe, nephews of the groom.

The bride was honored at a bridal shower hosed by her mother, Debbie Gibbon, at the Wright Township Fire Hall on June 18, 2016. A wedding rehearsal dinner was hosted by the mother of the groom, Andrea Burke and sister, Elaina Wilkins at Grotto’s Pizza. An evening cocktail hour and reception was hosted by the parents of the bride, James and Debbie Gibbon at the Holiday Inn East Mountain.

The bride is a 2007 graduate of Crestwood High school. She graduated from Lock Haven University, Lock Haven, with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is working on her master’s degree in special education from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. She is employed by Caroline County Public Schools as a full-time special education teacher specializing in autism.

The groom graduated from Wyotech in 2010 with a certificate in automotive technology. He is currently employed full-time as an automobile mechanic at Lindsey Chevrolet in Woodbridge, Virginia.

The couple spent their honeymoon in Riveria Maya, Mexico. They will reside in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
