NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say a second child has died following a fire that earlier killed another child and two adults in southeastern Pennsylvania.

The 11-year-old girl had been rushed to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in critical condition after the blaze early Saturday in Norristown in Montgomery County.

Chief Thomas O’Donnell of the Norristown Fire Department told The (Norristown) Times Herald (http://bit.ly/1TOOjaG ) that the girl died at 1 p.m. Monday. Her name was not released.

Officials earlier said two adults were pronounced dead at the scene and a child died at Einstein Montgomery Hospital.

District Attorney Kevin Steele said the blaze is under investigation but doesn’t appear suspicious in origin.

O’Donnell said there were as many as 16 people living in the three-story home, which wasn’t licensed as a rental unit.
