COLUMBIA, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say two suspects will face charges of attempted homicide of a law enforcement officer in connection with shots fired — some of them at officers — in central Pennsylvania.

Police in Columbia County say their vehicles were targeted as they drove to a Columbia Borough home just before 3:30 a.m. Friday to investigate shots fired. Officials said four officers from three departments were fired upon from an upstairs window. None were hurt and they didn’t return fire.

Authorities said a 17-year-old was arrested in a second-floor bedroom and a rifle with a scope was next to him and an 18-year-old arrested in another bedroom had live rounds and shell casings in a pocket.

Authorities said the two suspects will also face charges of aggravated assault, conspiracy and reckless endangerment.
