    UPDATED EVENT: Saturday, Sep. 10 7:30 PM Flight 93 National Memorial begins two days of events to mark the 15th anniversary of 9/11 - Luminaria Program at the Flight 93 National Memorial, beginning two days of special programs to mark the 15th anniversary of 9/11. An array of 40 candle lanterns are placed at the Wall of Names, serving as a silent tribute to the loss of life of the passengers and crew on Flight 93 in the terrorist attacks, with family members, memorial center staff, and volunteers carrying the lanterns * Memorial marks the site in Pennsylvania where the United Airlines flight was downed in a field in 2001 after militants linked to al-Qaida had already crashed planes into the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Virginia. All 40 passengers and crew were killed during an attempt to retake control of the plane from hijackers in an incident which was portrayed in the 2006 Paul Greengrass movie 'United 93'
