ALIQUIPPA, Pa. (AP) — An 18-year-old man who ran away from what western Pennsylvania authorities say was a drug deal that turned into a fatal shooting has also been found dead.

The body of Dane Mathesius, previously identified as being 17, was found in a backyard of a home in Aliquippa on Tuesday. Police say he had been shot in the chest, though it’s unclear when he was killed.

Aliquippa police are still searching for an “armed and dangerous” 17-year-old suspect, Lawrence Reddick Jr., who is charged in the drug-related slaying of 16-year-old William Booher on Sept. 29.

Police say Booher and Mathesius, of New Brighton, met Reddick in a car to sell him drugs. Instead, police say Reddick shot Booher in the head and Mathesius ran away.

Two other teens are jailed on charges they conspired to plan the robbery-turned-slaying.
