PITTSBURGH —A judge is holding off making a decision on whether a Pennsylvania teen can plead guilty but mentally ill to stabbing 20 fellow students and a security guard at his high school in 2014. The judge said Monday he wants Westmoreland County prosecutors and the attorney for 19-year-old Alex Hribal to file written arguments in the next month-and-a-half over whether he should accept the plea. DIALYSIS PATIENT-VAN CRASH — A coroner says a dialysis patient has been killed when the medical van he was in was hit head-on by another vehicle on an icy western Pennsylvania road.

POLICE CRUISER CRASH — Authorities say a police cruiser in suburban Pittsburgh was badly damaged and nearly hit a group of children after it lost control during the pursuit of a stolen vehicle.

MAYOR ARRESTED-DUI — Officials say a Pennsylvania mayor has been charged with driving under the influence after he allegedly hit a vehicle and fled the scene of the crash.
