PLYMOUTH TWP. – Moon Lake Park will be open this weekend for trout fishing.

Luzerne County Commissioner Stephen A. Urban said the state Fish and Game Commission has stocked the 48-acre spring-fed lake with thousands of trout in time for the first day of trout season on Saturday.
The park will be open daily from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Oct. 31, Urban said.
He warned that fishermen should throw back any trout they catch in the lake this week prior to Saturday because the Fish and Game Commission officers will be stopping by to make sure everyone plays by the rules.
While restrooms at the park will be closed, Urban said some portable toilets will be set up near the boat dock and around the lake to accommodate fishermen.
