DUNMORE — Two additions have come to Fidelity Bank’s business services department.

Chris O’Brien has joined Fidelity Bank as merchant services specialist. With over 15 years of banking experience, O’Brien will be responsible for credit card processing, both mobile and in store.

Additionally, he will help local business owners and merchants increase their daily cash flow, process their electronic transactions more cost effectively and grow their business.

O’Brien earned his associate’s degree from Wilkes University (then Wilkes College) and then served in the U.S. Army, where he attained the rank of sergeant. Post military service he attended Black Hills State University in South Dakota, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree. He currently resides in Dallas.

Also joining the business services team is Dena Hughes, who was recently promoted to Fidelity at Work business development specialist. Hughes has been with Fidelity Bank for four years working in customer service and sales. She brings more than 20 years experience in client management, retention and growth, customer service and satisfaction, direct and indirect sales, call center operations, sales training and team management in the financial and telecommunications industry.

In her new role, Hughes will oversee Fidelity Bank’s workplace banking program, Fidelity at Work. This program offers perks to enhance the benefits package of local companies, by allowing them the opportunity to offer employees a program specially designed to help them save and manage their money.

Hughes is a graduate of City University of New York, College of Staten Island. She and her husband, Stephen live in Blakeslee. She is the residing president of the Pocono Mountain Women’s Club, a service organization dedicated to community improvement in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
