KINGSTON — Jeanne Torony, M.D., was named medical director of Choices, the Commonwealth Health Drug and Alcohol Recovery Center.

Torony is a graduate of King’s College and The University of Scranton and earned a medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, Roseau, Dominica. She completed residency programs at the Wyoming Valley Family Practice Residency Program and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center Residency Program, Wilkes-Barre. She is certified in suboxone treatment and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Torony and her husband, Gary Okun, have two sons, Jordan and Justin.
