WILKES-BARRE — Mayor George C. Brown has announced that the 2023 season of the City’s Farmers Market will open on Public Square on Thursday, June 29, at 10 a.m.

Dustin Douglas will sing the National Anthem to open of the market.

Mayor Brown said the City thanks Diamond City Partnership for its generous donation to the market.

The Farmers Market will continue every Thursday through Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Upcoming special days at the Farmers Market include Veterans Appreciation Day on Aug. 3, Children’s Day on Aug. 10, Active Aging Day on Sept. 14, and Multicultural Food Day on Sept. 21.

Live music, presented by Geisinger, will be played between June 29, and Sept. 21. Schedule is as follows:
