KVAL Food Outlet on East Main Street in Glen Lyon, where a man was stabbed Sunday night following an incident involving eight people.

GLEN LYON — An incident Sunday night involving eight people is under investigation after a stabbing left a man severely injured, according to our news gathering partners at Eyewitness News (WBRE/WYOU).

The Newport Township Police Department told Eyewitness News reporters at around 9:00 p.m. Sunday, an altercation involving eight people took place at the KVAL Food Outlet on East Main Street in Glen Lyon.

Police said someone had a knife and a man was stabbed during the incident. The victim is currently in serious but stable condition at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Eyewitness News reported.

Police also said guns were involved but no shots were fired.

According to Eyewitness News, officials said all eight people were taken in for interviews but no arrests or charges have been made at this time. The investigation into the altercation is ongoing.
