WILKES-BARRE — A 36-year-old man died after being struck by a vehicle at South River and Market streets Tuesday, city police reported.

Police said the man was riding a bicycle and entered the intersection when struck by a vehicle traveling south on River Street at about 4:45 p.m., police reported.

The man was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police did not release the man’s name.
