The Gentlemen’s Dash on Linden Street in Scranton was one of the highlight events of Paint the Planet Pink on Saturday.

Paint the Planet Pink, formerly known as Paint Pittston Pink, held two of its signature events on Saturday in Scranton, included the running of a 5K and the Gentlemen’s Dash, which features local men wearing high heels and racing each other.

Paint the Planet Pink rebranded at the end of 2023, but its goals remain the same. The organization of the same name has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for cancer research since its inception.

Upcoming events on the Paint the Planet Pink calendar include:

• Sept. 28 – Community awards, Charley Trippi Stadium at Pittston Area High School

• Sept. 29 – Purse bingo, St. Maria Goretti Banquet Hall, Laflin

• Sept. 30 – Paint PAZZO Pink

• Oct. 4 – Paint The Red Mill Pink

• Dec. 6 – It’s a Wonderful Life
