WILKES-BARRE — A man arrested last year on 100 felony counts of child pornography has pleaded guilty to all the charges against him.

Adam Snide, 42, entered the pleas before Luzerne County Judge David W. Lupas on Wednesday. He also admitted to two felony charges of disseminating photos or films of children in sex acts.

Snide was arrested Aug. 1 while staying at the home of then Rice Township Supervisor Marcia Thomas on Heslop Road. Court records list Snide’s place of residence as Wilkes-Barre.

He told police Thomas knew nothing of his addiction, and police also said she knew nothing about the images.

Police say many of the images on Snide’s computer were of a sexually violent nature, with children being bound and gagged. Some of the children depicted were infants.

Officers said they found so many pornographic images, they stopped counting them while serving the warrant. Snide told police he had been viewing and sending child pornography for 20 years, predicting authorities might find around 10,000 files.

Judge Lupas set Snide’s sentencing date for July 2.

He was ordered to have no contact with minors and to register as a sex offender for 25 years. He will also be evaluated by the state Sexual Offenders Assessment Board.

Snide was remanded to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility to await sentencing.
