WILKES-BARRE — The 19-year-old man accused of firing shots into a Wilkes-Barre home in February has been released from the county jail on bail, but an order from a county judge sets severe restrictions on his release.

Onje Crowder, 19, was locked up since March on charges of aggravated assault, discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure, reckless endangerment and conspiracy to commit aggravated assault.

Crowder was initially denied bail, but his bail was reset to $100,000 after a hearing in September. Court records show Crowder has been released from prison after posting his bail.

But Luzerne County Judge Joseph F. Sklarosky Jr. issued an order restricting Crowder’s freedom. Crowder may not leave Luzerne County for any reason without permission from the court, and he must be in his Wilkes-Barre apartment by 9 p.m. each night, unless he has a job that keeps him out later.

He is also ordered to have no contact with anyone else involved in the case.

On Feb. 18, Crowder allegedly fired shots into a home that contained multiple people, including an 8-year-old child. No one was injured in the shooting.

He was eventually captured by police more than month later.

Crowder’s trial date is currently set for Jan. 6, 2020.
