WILKES-BARRE — Greg Griffin and volunteers from around the region, including a group from the New Roots Recovery Center, turned out on Saturday to hold a cleanup on the wooded hillside along Thompson Street in the city’s North End. This was the third consecutive weekend during which Griffin, 65, a retired state correctional officer from Swoyersville, has coordinated a neighborhood cleanup in Wilkes-Barre.
