A man was arrested this week for allegedly breaking into a home, so a woman could return later in the day to remove a flat-screen television.
According to police:
Jonathan T. Guerrero broke into a residence at 481 Grove St., Pringle, to allow Danyelle Reilly access to the home.
Police responded to a call from the homeowners at 10:43 a.m. Dec. 7.
The homeowners found Reilly, 21, exiting the side of 479 Grove St. The homeowners then called police and Reilly ran toward Edwardsville.
One of the homeowners chased Reilly. As she was being chased, she turned around and raised her two hands like she was pointing something at the victim and threatened to shoot the victim. Reilly then got into a vehicle and fled.
Police later picked up Reilly and interviewed her Dec. 22. She admitted to breaking into the home with Guerrero. She admitted being a lookout for Guerrero as well as being in the possession of a stolen handgun, which she pointed at the homeowner. She is charged with one count each of criminal conspiracy, receiving stolen property, carrying a firearm without a license and one misdemeanor charge of loitering.
Guerrero, 19, was interviewed by Kingston detectives Feb. 13. He admitted to breaking into the home so Reilly could remove a flat-screen television. He admitted to checking out the place during the day and returned when it got dark. Guerrero broke out a window and opened the rear door of the residence.
He fled the area when he heard noise downstairs.
Guerrero was charged with one felony count each of criminal conspiracy and criminal trespassing as well as one misdemeanor count each of loitering and criminal mischief.
He is lodged at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $35,000 bail. He is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. Feb. 23 in front of District Judge David Barilla.
Court papers indicate Reilly’s case has been turned over to the Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas after she waived her preliminary hearing. She faces formal arraignment at 10 a.m. April 6 in front of County Judge Joseph F. Sklarosky Jr. Reilly is in the Luzerne lockup for lack of $10,000 bail.
